Color Me Yellow

Sundays are just easy going for me. I go to church, do brunch with the hubby, and just chill and get ready for the week ahead. I’m not normally a bright color person. In fact, most of my wardrobe consists of neutrals  (black, grey, nudes). However, I’m learning to step out of my comfort zone and experiment with brighter colors.

This dress has been sitting in my closet for over a month. I didn’t know how to dress it. This is the ONLY yellow piece in my closet so you can see how difficult it was for me to dress this piece. After stepping out of my comfort zone and putting it together, I LOVE it. The fabric of the dress was light and perfect for this hot summer weather. I paired it with some wedges but can easily see how I can wear sandals with it also. Hubby said I looked good so that’s all that matters so me.

The next time I go shopping I will keep this in mind and try to shop for brighter colors knowing that I can pull them off confidently.
